FlashFire Igniter RetroFit Kit Description

Our FlashFire™ Igniter reaches over 2000°F. This scorching hot air is forced into the firepot and almost instantly lights your pellets. A complete fire is established so quickly that the grill will be at cooking temperatures faster than any other pellet grill. Our FlashFire™ Igniter technology is proof of our commitment to constantly bring new solutions to our pellet grills. Unlike steel cartridge heaters, FlashFire™ Igniters are impervious to moisture and corrosion, which means years, if not decades, of trouble-free operation. FlashFire™ igniters are rated for 90,000 on/off cycles.

FlashFire Igniters come standard on all new MAK Grills and this retrofit kit can be installed on all grills purchased prior to April 2016.

    Just upgraded to the flashfire and it’s awesome. Well built and easy to install. It’s much faster than my old traditional igniter for start up. I highly recommend it.

    I upgraded my 2-Star General with the new flame zone and the flashfire igniter. The igniter works really well – I have smoke normally in under 30 seconds. I really like the fact that has a 90,000 cycle lifetime without needing to replace it. It’s expensive, but it saves having an igniter go bad just when you need fire up the grill for a party (and then scramble to find the manual and how to start it manually without tripping the GFCI, etc. etc.). For me it’s been well worth it!
